Kickoff to a 10 Week Kickboxing Program!

I'm so excited about starting this awesome 10 week program tomorrow!!! A bit nervous, but also excited. I've exercised on my own for so long - I decided I needed a change and a challenge. After all I hear all the time that if you keep doing what you've always done you'll continue having what you've always had. And I'm ready for a killer awesome fit body. I mean, I've realy been saying it for like 14 years - probably since I was 20. And i've been in decent shape in and out of years -- hit my highest weight after my 4th was born but have worked that off over the last couple of years.. But, I seriously can't crack these last 5-10 lbs. And now that we have decided our four children is enough I feel like I can really work to getting my body in better shape!

So . . . insert something new! I'm hoping the nutritional counseling really helps me to make some permanent changes. The program goes for 10 weeks, includes 6 weeks of workouts, 3 coaches per group (our group has 5-6 people), nutritional counseling, body weight/fat analyses, and the opportunity to win $1,000 if you have the biggest changes. I'm kinda competitive so here we go!

Eating Plan:

So, they gave me specific numbers to shoot for -- personalized for me. I'm curious o see how it's gonna go! I'm focused on doing my best but food is my TOTAL WEAK SPOT. Ugh! I just love to eat. So - my plan is basic. I just need to eat 6 times a day (something I've done before in the past) - and at each meal I need 13 grams of protein and 21 grams of carbs. And that's it. Well, and choosing better carbs versus worse carbs -- so ice cream is off the list. And a cheat day - once a week, I can eat whatever I want. That will be interesting too - because usually I get the sugar craving out of me - and then if I eat some sweet stuff it's right back - so it makes me a bit nervous - but I'm going to trust the coaches! Plus, I know this is pretty much how fitness competitors and body builders eat - and they look pretty dang good.

So - follow me on my blog to see my changes! Pretty excited about this new adventure!
